(Makes 8-16)

150g / 1 rounded cup Wholemeal spelt flour
60g hazelnuts chopped
60g dark choc buttons chopped
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup xylitol (or sugar, coconut sugar)
1/4 cup olive oil

Preheat oven to 180C
Line a baking tray with baking paper
Mix dry ingredients, mix wet ingredients, add wet to dry and stir until just mixed
Scoop out into a baking tray and press down slightly
*If desired, reserve some choc buttons to press into the tops
**For melts choc centre, add two choc buttons to the centre of each cookie prior to baking
Bake for 15mins or until golden brown
Transfer to a wire tray to cool
